Ricordare di essere – my experience at the Milan exhibition

In October 2025, I participated in the exhibition ricordare di essere at a gallery located on the outskirts of Milan. Although the announcement suggested that the event would take place in the city center, the reality was somewhat different – the location was not as central as I had expected.

I showed one artwork – “Sun”. From what I could gather from the limited number of photos and videos, the rooms were well-lit, and the works were evenly displayed, which shows that the technical preparation of the exhibition was adequate.

Unfortunately, the promotion left much to be desired. My work appeared only in a collective gallery post – just in the description, without a photo – and in the online catalog, for which I prepared the description myself. In the photos from the opening, my work was not visible at all – basically, no pictures were taken that could show it. There was no dedicated post, no targeted advertising – my online presence was practically nonexistent.

Was the experience valuable despite this? Honestly, it’s hard to say. It was another lesson in how important visibility, promotion, and the gallery’s responsibility are in presenting an artist’s work.

Every exhibition teaches me something new – patience, independence, and attention to details that affect how my art is received. ricordare di essere was another step in my artistic journey and a reminder of how crucial it is to carefully choose exhibition venues and ensure that my work is properly presented in the future.
