It all begins with a fever. From that moment in the early hours, when the light is not yet the white of day, and the darkness has ceased to be a safe haven.

 

Fever Dream of a Stranger (35x25 cm / 13.8"x9.8") is a powerful mixed media piece delving into the existential uncanny. The canvas is sharply divided: above, a fluid acrylic sky swirls in heavy blues and purples, filled with dark, snowflake-like entities that bring heat rather than cold, while a crooked moon watches helplessly. Below rise the mountains not of earth, but frozen, geometric pangs of conscience. Rendered with fine marker lines and dots, they represent our human attempt to organize raw fear into neat structures. Whose dream is this? Perhaps we’ve woken up inside someone else’s mind and must play roles we don’t understand.
