Artistic Journey 2025: Four Exhibitions and Lessons for the Future

The year 2025 was a time of intense artistic work for me, as well as valuable experiences gained during four exhibitions in Italy: DOPPIA VISIONE (Naples), ARCHITETTURE INVISIBILI (Venice), RICORDARE DI ESSERE (Milan) and WHEN THEY SEE US (Milan, organised by Artemida Gallery). Each of these exhibitions was an opportunity to present my art, but also a test of the logistics, communication and professionalism of the galleries.

Analysis of experiences

1. RICORDARE DI ESSERE (Milan)
The best organised exhibition in terms of logistics and security of the works. The installation and lighting were good, but the promotion and visibility of my work were poor. The lack of curatorial support was noticeable, as in all exhibitions.

2. ARCHITETTURE INVISIBILI (Venice)
The exhibition stood out for its visual quality and the positive atmosphere at the opening. The professionalism of the gallery and communication were better than in Naples and Milan (DOPPIA VISIONE and WHEN THEY SEE US), but return transport and promotion were still problematic.

3. DOPPIA VISIONE (Naples)
The first exhibition revealed significant organisational problems, including incorrect installation and lack of gallery support. The logistics required my personal supervision. Insurance and professionalism were insufficient.

4. WHEN THEY SEE US (Milan)
The most difficult experience in 2025. The shipment with the paintings was not picked up on time, and the works were hung only a few hours before the opening, which excluded them from the curatorial competition.

Technical and organisational issues:

  • Amateur installation – paintings hung on nails, no professional cables, black walls with numerous holes from previous exhibitions.
  • Damage – one of the paintings was returned stained with paint, probably during the painting of the walls. The gallery denied responsibility.
  • Lack of support and respect – the gallery staff and owner excluded me from conversations by switching to Italian.
  • Promotion limited to a single post on Instagram.
  • No curatorial evaluat

This experience was not only logistically and technically disappointing, but also emotionally difficult, showing a lack of basic respect for the artist.

Lessons for the future

  • Logistics and personal supervision: Clear deadlines for collection and return must be required, as well as proper security for the works.
  • Insurance for the works: Independent, comprehensive insurance is necessary.
  • Curatorial support and promotion: Written guarantees regarding support, texts, promotional materials and social media activities.
  • Professionalism and respect: Verification of opinions about the gallery and its approach to artists, especially in matters of liability for damage and treatment of participants.

The year 2025 proved that the success of an exhibition depends not only on the quality of the art, but also on the professionalism of the gallery, clear communication and active logistics management. These experiences will be crucial when selecting future events and partners for cooperation.
